Christmas from the Garden with Orla McGrane

Christmas from the Garden with Orla McGrane
Orla's creations today were truly inspiring, colourful and very festive! Orla started off with a traditional door wreath using a lovely red rose called 'freedom'. It has a large head and long stem so it is ideal for floral arrangements. Coupled with striking purple and a green foliage background you will be the envy of the neighborhood with this wreath hanging on your door!

Orla's second piece today was a white Christmas theme and she drew her inspiration from one of our white snowmen in store! Using cinnamon sticks to create the outer edge and with a white bow draped over the side, this piece would look beautiful on a side table or even as a table centre piece. Orla used white roses to fill in the centre and long stem flowers to give it some height. You could sit the snowman beside this arrangement to create a magical white Christmas scene.

I particularly liked Orla's last piece which was a nice alternative to a mantle arrangement. Again Orla drew her inspiration from the shop with our gingerbread themed decorations and accessories. Orla started by using lovely gold candles and bronze coloured baubles. She glued a small frog stand to the end of the bauble to hold it in the oasis and removed the top. She then placed some water in the baubles and used a beautiful vintage coloured rose in each. All the colours combined gave this piece a lovely vintage feel and would look fabulous on any mantle!
